In 1966, YAMAHA established a Guitar Research Division with the aim of developing high-end products, and in 1967, they invited Spanish master craftsman Eduardo Ferrer to produce classical guitars, and received technical guidance on traditional Spanish manufacturing methods. YAMAHAGC-10, 7, 5, and 3 were released in August 1967. GC-5 is a model released after that with the same model name, and the specifications are different, but the top is made of Scots pine veneer, which is now rare. The characteristics are rich bass and clear treble with a bit of stickiness. This guitar is easy to play thanks to the shape of the neck. The string length also helps with the volume, which is a large individual. The guitar is about 45 years old. There are very few marks and it is in good condition considering its age. There are no cracks or repair history, so probably you will be satisfied with the product. The top is made of Ezo pine veneer, and the annual rings are detailed. There is no peeling of the bridge. Rosetta became a design often used on subsequent YAMAHA models. There are some marks. All of them are minor and probably the situation is generally in good condition. The sides and back are made of plywood and the rosewood grain is beautiful. Both are urethane painted, but the paint is relatively thin. It is in relatively good condition with no cracks in the wood or paint. 80% of the frets remain, and there is no clogging of the sound. The neck is generally straight with no twists.
