Vintage Hazel Atlas Glass “Snack, Sip & Smoke” Snack Set - (Pattern 1305)Made in the 1940's and 50's, this pattern has also been referred to as Ribs & Beads. Produced by the Hazel Atlas Glass Company these Vintage Snack, Sip & Smoke Trays come with the small cup that has a "Berwick-Boopie" beaded handle and holds about 6 ounces. The cup is 4.25" wide with handle included, 2.5" tall and the opening is 2 3/4" wide. The Plate is divided into three compartments and has a ribbed bottom and beaded handles on each end. There is ample space on the tray for holding appetizers and fruit as the plate measures 10 7/8" long x 6" wide and is 3/4" deep. Plates are divided into 3 sections for the snack, the cup and a small ashtray with an indent for holding a cigarette for the "after-meal smoke". Back when smoking was "cool" these sets were the go-to for an evening or luncheon of entertaining with friends. Glassware like this would also have been used for baby or wedding showers, ice cream socials, and anniversary parties, Ladies Luncheons, card parties and events held at any time of year.
