O'Connell, for years affiliated with the hobby's longest-running periodical (Sports Collectors Digest), issued this card (along with more than 200 others) through his own publication, The Infield Dirt, for nearly a decade starting in 1984. Each card features an O'Connell Ink art work with player identification on the front and card number. The back is blank. The print run was limited to just 2,000 of each card in standard 2-1/2" by 3-1/2" standard size (though some cards are found to be slightly larger**).*MINI PRINTS: O'Connell & Son Ink designated standard size cards as "Mini Prints" in contrast with a series of larger 4-1/2" by 6-1/2" series the company produced to introduce its product in 1983.**Slightly larger than standard size at 2-5/8" by 3-5/8".
