Description: Up for sale are 5 fresh unrooted cuttings from an Elephant heart plum tree. All cuttings will range in length from 5"-8" inches long and will have 5-8 nodes. All cuttings will be taken fresh on the day that they will be shipped. Please see the last 3 pictures in the item description. I also included a picture of the mother tree and 2 other stock photos of the Elephant heart plum fruit. The mother tree which these cuttings will be taken from has been responsibly grown using NO harmful chemicals or pesticides. Here is some important information about the Elephant heart plum tree: * Fruit taste: Mildly tartness, sweet, and floral flavor with prominent notes of berries and vanilla. *Fruit size: 7-8 inches in diameter. * Fruitingtime: 3-5 years. * Mature Height: 18'-20' * Fruit yield at maturity: 50+ lbs. When tree is cross pollinated. * Growing zones: 5-9 * Light: Full sun to partial shade. * pH preferred: 6-7 * Pollination: Self fertile but will produce a heavier crop when cross pollinated. * Chill hours required: 500 * Best cross pollinators: Santa Rosa, Beauty When your cutting arrives, please make sure you remoisten the paper towel, and either put the cuttings in fridge for later grafting or to root later, or place in soilless media which is the best starting mix for starting plant cuttings. The mixture should be loose, well draining and have plenty of oxygen movement for newly forming roots. You can start cuttings in perlite, vermiculite, sand, or a combination of peat moss and any of the other materials mentioned before. To increase the chances of cuttings rooting successfully, dip the cuttings in rooting hormone. Place well watered potted cuttings in an area away from direct sunlight. Sharp angled end goes in the media, flat-straight cut end faces up. Keep growing media moist but not soaked. Roots should start forming in 6-8 weeks.
