Description: 4 vintage Gien (France) "Le Langage Des Fleurs" (which translates to The Language of Flowers) salad plates. Each plate measures approximately 7 3/4" wide x 7/8" high. The Gien backstamp dates these plates between 1960-1971. All the plates have some crazing and a few little nicks along on the edges or bottom. Lot includes: - Marguerite Des Pres - I J'y Songerai. (Meadow Daisy - I Will Think About It). ILm'aime, un peu, passionement... (He loves me, a little, passionately....) - Rose Tremiere - Fecondite. (Hollyhock - Fertility). J'en voulons avoid une douzaine. (I want to have a dozen). - Coquelicot - Consolation. (Poppy - Consolation). Grande bete n'pleure done point comme ca, j'te dis que j'te e'pouserons! (Big beast don't cry like that, I tell you that I'll marry you!) - Bleuet - Delicatesse. (Cornflower - Delicacy). A bas le pattes, ca tache! (Down with pasta, it stains!)
