The center assembly is interchangeable and can be removed without losing the head placement. The wings rotate counterclockwise and clockwise to control the shaft position. The other choice utilizes the half-bowl with leveling function or the flat plate. Turn the center assembly locking knob counter-clockwise to unlock the center assembly. The half-bowl leveling replacement for the center column separates with a twist of the column tightening assembly. Use the replaceable column to quickly set the level for video and still imaging devices. The 3/8" post screw is designed for attaching heads, including the 3POD H4 ball head. Low Camera Angle Setup Use the tripod without the center column for low angle shots without an interfering center column for freedom from leg angle limitations. Replace the traditional center column with the leveling half bowl adapter or flat plate and the counterweight mechanism.
