In a landscape they can really help cool an area off with the great amount of shade produced and they perspire a cooling mist. The leaves and bark make amazing (root developing) mulch. Grows at fast rate of 2 feet per year and can get to be 30-40 feet tall with a 35 foot spread. As a bonsai they do quite well in a pot and can lend themselves to a wide range of interesting shapes.
