Description: Here's a holy grail from 1989! A genuine Alembic Electrum w/ Rare Kahler. This is a total custom guitar. THIS ELECTRUM HAS A SUPER FLAMED TOP -very reminiscent of Jerry Garcia's Eagle guitar, and it has even been decked out with a Wolf decal. The Kahler has been replaced with a newer Gotoh Black bridge, a locking floyd rose style bridge with a trem stop. This guitar is a SMOOTH playing, unique sounding, versatile beauty. All original pickups and electronics w/ INCREDIBLE TONAL CLARITY FROM PICKUPS & ACTIVE ELECTRONICS. These pickups are like no others; this has super WIDE SPECTRUM FULL SOUND. this guitar absolutely nails GARCIA TONES. The handmade details are truly stunning and the wood and craftsmanship are truly top quality. Super straight EBONY FRETBOARD with bigger medium frets that have recently been leveled to perfection, this plays great up and down the neck! Note: there are a few flaws that have been repaired over the years. This had a very slight surface crack near the nut on treble side that was extremely stable and has since been professionally repaired by Third Coast Guitars in Chicago (see pics), it's now steel tight and only a cosmetic issue. Previously a locking nut was removed and replaced with polished bone nut and it's holes have been filled and plugged. The headstock has some lacquer cracking and lifting around the tuners (see pics) this is age related and nothing structural (this headstock has many layers beneath it's overlay) see pics. Also depending on your preferences this may require a setup, and due to your winter climate the frets could be spiky. Comes with a heavily padded Levy's bass gig bag and will be extremely well packaged for safe shipping. Other than these cosmetic issues this guitar is a real STUNNING LOOKING BEAUTY!
