Description: Second owner ‘s offering of a 1970 Rowe/AMI Model MM-4 Trimount Stereo, High-Fidelity phonograph, 100 records (200 selections) play jukebox. The seller purchased the jukebox 01/1982 from the original owner - Star Music Company, Atlanta, GA, a Rowe/AMI Certified Operator (see photograph). Star Music completely refurbished the jukebox at the time of the 1982 purchase. CONDITION: VERY GOOD. The jukebox’s construction remains tight and sturdy, stands upright with no wobbling or instability. It has built-in casters/rollers which provide easy, one-person mobility. The Trimount’s Mediterranean Panel and Fabric Cowl Grill are in excellent condition, with no damage or punctures. The tempered glass front panel is clear and bright, with no cracks or scratches. All interior/exterior display lights are functional, giving off a bright and warming appearance. The vinyl wood grain side panels are pristine, with no scratches, dents or other wear marks. Likewise, the jukebox’s back section is clean with minimal time-worn marks. The Title Panel, which holds ten (10), flip-out title racks and 100 title strips, is in excellent condition with no warping or damage. Per the Owner’s Manual, “the cabinet features seven ply lumber; vinyl wood grain side panels; anodized, epoxy-coated and vinyl clad steel grilles; high impact polystyrene simulated wood; stainless steel trim; and chrome plating over dual nickel for lasting beauty and durability. For safety, the front panel is tempered safety glass.” Offering also includes: · MM-4 Owner’s Manual (31 pages). · Original “Rowe” key. · New, unopened “Genuine Diamond Stylus Replacement for Shure, No. 09-1620.” · Ten (10) blank title strip sheets, each containing twelve (12) record strips. The jukebox is operational with two (2) items requiring repair and/or replacement: · The attached audio video shows a 45-rpm record being played but there is no sound, just a distorted, muffled sound. This may be a simple fix by replacing the stylus needle (?). See Manual, “Troubleshooting” (page 21) for “partial or distorted sound”. A new diamond stylus needle is included with this offering (see photographs). · Sporadically, a slight misalignment of the record being returned into the magazine / carriage mechanism can happen. When this occurs, the record could be damaged. In the attached video, the seller’s hand is poised to facilitate a smooth return by the transfer arm into the magazine / carriage mechanism’s record slot C-1. However, in this instance, the record was returned to slot C-1 with no problem or seller assistance. The permanent solution would be to make a slight adjustment that would centralize the magazine / changer mechanism to align with the position of the returning record transfer arm. Dimensions: (per the Owner’s Manual): Depth; 26-5/8”; Width; 41-7/8”; Height: 55-1/4”. Shipping Weight (Domestic): 412 lbs. Net Weight; 386 lbs. Serial No. 780552. Rowe/AMI produced an estimated 6,875 Model MM-4 Trimount units in 1970, having serial numbers 780,309 through 786,838. Although never used by the seller, the jukebox can be converted to coin-operated mode (see Owner’s Manual).
