Description: Selling a classic 1967 Rickenbacker Fireglo 330/12 string guitar, made in the USA. The guitar is used and does show playwear, nicks and scratches, but it is in very nice shape overall for a 57 year old guitar. The jack plate serial number is GA 113, which means it is #113 manufactured in January 1967. When I bought this guitar, the headstock had previously been broken and was poorly repaired. When this repair joint eventually failed, I took the guitar to renowned luthier, Dave Petillo (exclusive luthier for Bruce Springsteen and many others). Dave beautifully grafted a piece of German oak to the neck so that the headstock joint is far stronger and more stable than the original (see photo). As a result, this guitar plays and sustains better than it did new. Dave also used original Rickenbacker factory colors and lacquers to fully restore the headstock. The repair is 100% solid. Further note that six of the 12 tuners appear to be non-original. Although the 6 replacement tuners are correct era Kluson tuners, they are much newer looking than the other six tuners, and so I believe the replacement 6 tuners are not original. Finally, I installed an after-market 12 saddle bridge for improved intonation, however, the original 6 saddle bridge is included with this sale (see photo). The guitar comes with a gig bag and will be packed for safe transport. SHIPPING TO CONTINENTAL USA ONLY!
