Description: Up for sale, a 1966 Rickenbacker 365 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original silver tolex hardshell case. A lightly played example with a Fireglo gloss finish that exhibits bubble figuring in the maple across the back, this 365 features the "NS" (New Style) body shape which debuted in the mid-60s. The guitar has a rounded top edge on the face of the body and checkerboard back binding, achieving as stated by Rickenbacker, "a smooth roundness [that] avoids all that is harsh and yields flowing lines for smooth, easy playing." Few guitars can match the unique tonal character of a Rickenbacker, and this 365 model delivers everything that makes the most iconic era of Rickenbacker production desirable to players and collectors alike, with an Ac'cent vibrato tailpiece, checkerboard body binding, crushed glass fretboard inlays, and of course a pair of original toaster top Rickenbacker pickups. For jangle, clarity, and chime, these pickups have a characteristic responsiveness that is pure Rickenbacker.
