Description: Travel back in time with this 1960s Kay "Truetone" acoustic guitar. Made in Chicago by the late, great Kay Musical Instrument Company. "Truetone" was the old guitar brand of the late, great Western Auto department store chain. The previous owner's name (Audrey M. Meredith) is on a plastic adhesive label on the pickguard. It'd be easy to remove, but I like it. Cosmetically, there are some scratches and nicks, but overall it is in good condition. There's a small ding on the treble side lower bout below the tailpiece that's barely visible. I just put new strings on it. It sounds plenty good. It's a fine old All-American guitar, ready to play. No case, but it will be packed with plenty of bubble wrap. Questions? It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a new 46"x19"x7" stout cardboard instrument box. Please check out our eBay store, Time Travel Music, for more cool vintage stuff, including a bunch of vintage guitars (and a few ukuleles, banjos, fiddles, mandolins and amps, as well as fiddles, brass, woodwind, and various oddball musical instruments and old instrument brochures & catalogs). And please check out our YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/toadstoolshadow, to hear some of our original music.
