This card was part of a 2500+ Autographed Card Collection owned by Loring Morrison of Maine. Loring collected these autographs over a 30 year period. He died in 2002 and his entire collection was auctioned by Heritage Auction Galleries of Dallas, Texas in May 2006. I was fortunate enough to win a good portion of that collection (500+) and I am now offering all of them for sale over the next few months. Walt was a member of the Baltimore Orioles on this card. Walt died Dec. 17, 2010, ref. Wikipedia. Walt also played for the following teams in his career: Boston Red Sox Detroit Tigers Chicago White Sox Cincinnati Reds Player Notes: Walt played in the majors for 13 years and played in the 1950 All-Star Game. Walt's nickname is ''Moose''. Walt was AL ROY in 1950. Walt had 180 hits, 34 HR's, and 144 RBI's in 1950 and batted .322. Walt was a teammate of Ted Williams, Bobby Doerr, Johnny Pesky, Dom DiMaggio, Lou Boudreau, George Kell, Hal Newhouser, Al Kaline, Nellie Fox, Luis Aparicio, Larry Doby, Boog Powell and Brooks Robinson during his career. This card was part of an Auction lot sold by Heritage Auction Galleries of Dallas, Texas in May of 2006. The entire lot was Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA and you will get a Letter of Authenticity (LOA) dated May 6, 2006.
