First edition. Against the background of the loss of territory for the Ottoman empire this book contains the letters sent by Sir Robert Sutton, British Ambassador in Constantinople to Secretary of State Lord Dartmouth between 1710 and 1714. Mid blue cloth boards with a gilt cipher on the front board. Fading to the boards with minor marks on the rear board. Gilt lettering and gilt decoration on the spine. Fading to the spine. Light foxing to endpapers, prelims, and flyleaf. Crease to pages.
