True vintage 1950s mid-century modern (possibly 1940s) - handmande French square tablecloth, in a chic chateau/country manor house style, raised cross stitch of blues and reds for the flower petals and greens for the stems. Blue cross stitching around the centre square, with accent corner cross stitching round shapes, and around the same around hemline (which is slightly jaggered, to give a slightly scalloped effect). The 2 side pieces are separate pieces - sewn together. In quality 100% cotton fabric. Has been used and was washed quite sometime ago, and then stored carefully away for decades, and only unfolded today for photos......I can see during storage that stains have developed all over and this would need a professional stain removal job.
