Description: This 1943-S War Year Nickel with 5 Full Steps is a highly valuable piece among ERROR coin collectors due to its unique features. This particular coin escaped Quality Control at the mint facility and has a Lamination issue on the obverse of Jefferson's shoulder which had the error been seen by the folks doing Quality Control, the mint would have simply re-cycled the coin. There are some very interesting Lamination Errors on War Year Nickels in particular due to the coins metal composition not holding up.
