This poster features the image of an American soldier pointing directly at the viewer superimposed over the image of the Joint Resolution of Congress, signed by President Franklin Roosevelt and Vice-President Henry Wallace, that declared War on Japan. Text across the top and bottom of the poster reads MAKE YOUR OWN Declaration of War – BUY EXTRA BONDS. This is one of the first posters issued by the United States after war was declared following the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The lower margin indicates a 1942 publication date. This vintage original poster has no tape or pinholes, looks unused and is folded as issued in excellent condition with just light handling wear.
