Description: 1939 Sterling Trophy Coaster inscribed "WESTMINSTER KENNEL CLUB" - "BEST OF BREED" - "CH. MEADOW LARK DRAFTSMAN". The round coaster measures about 0.5 inches high by 3.5 inches wide. The bottom measuring about 2.75 inches wide is stamped "Black Starr and Frost Gorham" at its top rim and "STERLING" on its bottom rim. In very good condition with no scratches or dents. The sterling coaster weight is 2.06 Troy oz. (64.0g). The AKC Archives for the 1939 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, reports that at the Judge, Mr. Chetwood Smith awarded the best of breed first prize to Foxcatcher Beagles, Ch.
