Striking, large poster of the 1931 Bugatti Royale Berline de Voyage from the Harrah Collection, which was sold at auction in 1986. Photo by Lucinda Lewis. One of only six Bugatti Royales known to exist, this is the limousine that Ettore Bugatti created for himself. It remained in "Le Patron's" family until 1950, when it sold for the first time to noted American racer and car builder Briggs Cunningham. The car eventually made its way to the Harrah's collection in 1966. This is Bugatti Type 41 s/n 41150, with an in-line 8 cylinder engine with a single overhead camshaft. The poster includes further engine details: 4 15/16" bore, 5 1/8" stroke, 778.7 cubic inch (12.76 liters) displacement, 300 horsepower. This was an exceptionally long car with a 169" wheelbase. Poster is in excellent condition with a bright, clean print surface and sharp edges and corners. It looks rippled in the photos, but isn't. This is larger than the folded-as-issued poster.
