Description: This pattern of two geisha being rowed across a river lined with huts and cherry trees has been a favorite worldwide and was produced for several decades starting in the early 1900’s. This nine lobed, three-footed bowl and double handled plate are from the 1921-1941 period. They are expertly hand painted and decorated with raised highlights. Each one has a few firing flaws but there are no chips or cracks. The bowl and plate both measure 7.5 inches wide and the bowl is 3.25 inches tall.
