Volume VII and VIII contains sermons for passion week, religious training, Christian charity, and the steps toward's heaven. The final volume looks at the commandments, the descent into hell, the resurrection of the body and the world, the flesh and the devil. The Tracts for the Times were a series of 90 theological publications, varying in length from a few pages to book-length, produced by members of the English Oxford movement , an Anglo-Catholic revival group. CONDITION In a paper binding. Externally, a trifle rubbed with marks to boards and bumping to corners and head and tail of spine. Joints starting but firm. Backstrip of volume nine is lifting with closed tears. Internally, binding tender in places with dark spotting to first and last few pages, otherwise pages bright and clean.
