In good condition. Lovely binding with depiction of a gilt pilgrim on the front board and biblical motif on rear with publisher’s initials. Moderate wear to extremists with scuffing to edges and corners. Joints rubbed with light dryness. Spine ends lightly crushed with minor cracking at tail. Gilt work bright and clean. All edges gilt. Front joint tender with cracking. Interesting inscription on fly dated 1860, Albany. “Presented to Miss Fanny Adams for having committed to memory a greater number of a verses than any other member of her class in the Sabbath School, for having introduced a larger number of new scholars, and been remarkably punctual in her attendance during the year. W.B. Spruge (?).” Light offsetting from frontis portrait, tissue guards all intact. Light offsetting from plates overall. Internally bright and clean with minor instances of foxing and toning along the edges. Binding tight and intact. Free of known markings. Please see photos.
