(Mounted in modern wood frame). Materials: Tin glazed earthenware pottery. Dimensions: 92mm x 92mm / Approx 22mm thick. Makers marks: Unmarked. Condition: Poor. The tile is very worn and chipped. Sections of the glaze are missing and worn away. Wear commensurate with age and use. Notes: Despite the condition, this is still a very nice example of an 16th / 17th century Olambrilla tile from Seville. There are a number of very similar examples in the Met Museum.
